Ayush Jung Thapa

Program Coordinator/ Urban Planning Currently involved as Program Coordinator for Urban Planning and Governance projects at COMMITTED, Ayush has a postgraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management, University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia. Bringing in professional planning expertise from during his time at town planning firms in Australia and through various urban planning project works and research at UQ, Ayush has a long held passion for this field. Ayush holds special knowledge, interest, and dedication in statutory and policy planning, transport and infrastructure planning, land use planning, urban governance and management, disaster and urban risk management, heritage protection, regulatory frameworks for environmental management, and integrated, inclusive and resilient planning for safe and sustainable cities and towns.

Drabin Pradhan

Finance & Administrative Officer Drabin Pradhan holds a Master’s degree in Management from Sikkim Manipal University. He has more than nine years of professional work experience in the field of management and about five years of experience working with finance in NGOs. He has been working with COMMITTED since 2014 as a Finance and Administrative Officer and manages the project’s daily finance and administration duties. Drabin loves to work in a team.

Gautam Lamichhane Magar

Program Officer Gautam is COMMITTED’s Program Officer and has been working with the organization since 2015. He looks after projects in Sindhupalchowk District related to school improvement, social business and school governance. He started his NGO career in the year 2014 as a volunteer in International Citizen Service (ICS) program from Restless Development followed by his job as a Project Coordinator under Social Empowerment and Economic Development Assistance project in Gorkha District. Gautam is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Sociology from Tribhuwan University. Apart from visiting field sites, he enjoys travelling to new places, reading novels and watching cricket.

Jayjeev Hada

Founder/ Team Leader Jayjeev is the Founder and presently also the Team Leader of COMMITTED’s governance program. He is a community planner by profession and also a civil engineer. He holds a Masters Degree in Regional & Community Planning from the College of Architecture, Planning and Design, Kansas State University, and an Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering from Mangalore University, India. He has served as a senior planner for the Fairfax County Public School System and was involved in facilities planning for the school system from 2008-2010. He also served as a Land Use Planner for the Fairfax County Government, Virginia from 2001 to 2008. As a Land Use Planner for the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning, he was mostly involved in Fairfax County’s Comprehensive Planning efforts. In addition to his crave for dancing to all types of music, Jayjeev is a big fan of athletic sports, mainly Tennis and Basketball. He continues to support all sports activities to his best capacity and also serves as a voluntary Board Member of the All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association.

Khechar Nath Acharya

Program Coordinator/ Governance Having amassed an extensive seventeen-year experience in child-right, child-protection, anti human trafficking and local governance, Khechar Nath Acharya is currently working at COMMITTED as the Program Coordinator for Governance. He possesses a Master’s in both Business Administration and Sociology. He is fully immersed in COMMITTED’s Local Governance and Service Delivery projects, assisting local governments address and find solutions to local issues and educating local bureaucrats.

Ritima Pradhan

Executive Director Ritima has been associating with COMMITTED since inception as a Board Member. She is also one of the founding members of both COMMITTED US and Nepal. As of July 2017, she is the Executive Director of COMMITTED (Nepal) and manages the daily operations of the organization. Ritima has an extensive professional career of more than 25 years working in the fields of management, finance and IT. She started her career in Nepal selling computers for almost a decade. She then worked in the US specializing in federal accounting and US payroll system for about a decade and finally moved back to Nepal and worked at Swisscontact as the Sr. Administrative and HR Officer for almost 3 years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Decision Science and Management and Information Systems (DSMIS) from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia. Apart from managing the office, she also likes to manage her garden and has a passion for cooking.

Sanjit Parajuli

Office Driver Sanjit is COMMITTED’s intrepid driver. While he is not navigating his way through or around dangerous roads and highways in the countryside, he is indispensable in the office in Kathmandu ferrying others staff on scooter.Sanjit has a very good sense of humor.

Shoba Khadka

Program/ Office Assistant Shobha is one of the oldest staff members of COMMITTED and has helped the organization since the starting days of 2006. Being a local of Sindhupalchowk, she has been a vital connection for our projects in Sindhupalchowk district and has helped coordinate many projects in the local level. Currently, she is the Program/ Office Assistant at COMMITTED and supports the program staffs. She is a graduate of Shree Thangpaldhap Secondary School and continuing her further studies at Ratna Rajya Campus in Kathmandu, pursuing Bachelors in Arts degree.

Susma Rasaili

Communications Officer Susma Rasaili is COMMITTED’s Communications Officer and her current position includes handling social media, website, printed and online communications. A graduate of Bachelors of Science, she has also worked as an International Communications Advisor at FEBC Cambodia and Marketing, Communications and Administrative Assistant at Trans World Radio Nepal. In her spare time, Susma loves travelling, watching inspirational movies, connecting with family and friends and treasuring every single moment of life.
