Project Background: The fishery was established to provide means of additional income to make Raithane Secondary school and Chilaune Secondary schools self sustainable as well as help create a practical learning environment of fishery education and fish farming to the students and farmers of the neighboring areas.
The project has highly impacted the schools to cover their basic operational costs and has also encouraged local farmers to initiate fishery as a source of their living. The boat ride facility has also helped enhance the local tourism in the surrounding area.
Beneficiaries: Approximately 800+ Households from 3 wards: Thangpalkot, Bhotang and Gunsa
