Kanya Mandir Rehabilitation Project

Kanya Mandir is an all girls' higher secondary school located in Nheokha Tole, Kathmandu District. Community Members Interested and the school's management committee are working together to revive the school's glorious history. Our goal is to formulate a development plan that will rehabilitate the school's dilapidated infrastructures, construct additional facilities, and provide a sustainable financial management strategy and means to meet immediate and future needs of the school.

Existing Conditions

Current times for Kanya Mandir is not ideal. The school is eligible for government funding, but is limited. As a result, the management committee is forced to levy charges from the students to breakeven. Read more...

How You Can Help

We are in need of financial help for Kanya Mandir’s rehabilitation. As we meet with the managing committee to formulate the plans we are under pressure to meet expenses for communication, stationeries, salary for lower level staff who cannot afford to work without pay. The majority of duties are carried out by the board members and the executive director who are currently volunteers. If work is to go on your help is absolutely necessary. We ask for your financial support by making a Tax Deductible contribution for the project.
