Kanya Mandir Rehabilitation Project

Accomplishments

In coordinating the planning effort for Kanya Mandir the following activities have been partially completed. Details will be provided in the near future.

  • COMMITTED recently acquired funds from kind U.S. donors and the Western Union Foundation for the purchase and installation of a computers Lab. COMMITTED was recognized by the school for serving the underprivileged girls of the first girls school of Nepal during the school’s anniversary celebration event. Our Founde,Jayjeev Hada, was also felicitated for his efforts during his recent visit to the school.

  • Conducted Needs Assessment Survey: We recently conducted a needs assessment survey of Kanya Mandir School. Three hundred plus students and faculty members of the school participated in the survey process. The report indicates that a new computer lab, improved toilet facilities, and a bus service is to be given high priority.

  • We recently replaced all the classroom blackboards with white dry erase boards. In total 22 blackboards were replaced.

  • Multi-Media Projector Donation: We recently provided a multi-media projector for Kanya Mandir School. The projector will be used mostly to show education related documentaries, feature films, and for making power presentations during ceremonies and classroom lectures. The pictures below were taken during the hand over session during which a demonstration session was also held.

  • Northwing Walkway Shed - $1,600 – COMPLETED
