Annual Barbecue Picnic and Basketball Semi-Finals and Final NBT 2006

Community Members Interested (COMMITTED) in partnership with the District of Columbia Athletic Club (DCAC) organized the Annual Barbecue Picnic and Basketball Semi-Finals and Final NBT 2006 showdown at the Annandale District Park . The event was a great success with representation from various community members residing in the DC area. Along with the competitive basketball finals all participants were treated to a great lunch and fun and games. In addition, the event helped raise approximately $234 to support COMMITTED's project to rehabilitate the first girls' school of Nepal , Kanya Mandir Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The following are the outcome of the events.

• Basketball Champions – Lali Gurans
• Runner Up – Fighting Gurkhas
• Most Valuable Player (MVP) – Nirjan Rai
• Women's Free Throw Competition – Ranju Shrestha
• Fancy Shot Competition – Adarsh Karki
